How to Become a Security Officer:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Have your High School Diploma or GED
- Apply for a Security License in your area
- Pass a Criminal Background Check & Drug Screen & Re-Screening as necessary
- Have a state issued ID or valid Driver’s License (this makes you a more desirable candidate, and eligible for mobile patrol positions)
- Obtain & maintain any applicable licenses or certifications necessary in your state.
- Be physically able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift, and move or lift objects up to 80 lbs.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person & in writing
