PalAmerican Security is expanding its footprint in Illinois with the acquisition of Black Knight Security’s Chicago operations. The move bolsters PalAmerican’s presence in the Chicago market and further strengthens its growing reach in the office and commercial real estate space across North America.

Black Knight Security (BKS) was established in 2003 and is a proud member of BOMA Chicago and ABOMA. The 
company has deep roots in the security industry, with over 75 years of combined expertise within its management team. That experience has resulted in employee support through a hands-on approach to management, which plays a significant role in the delivery of high-quality security services to a variety of clients.
Specializing in commercial and residential security, the BKS team puts customer service at the forefront and prides itself on making a strong first impression. It has led to BKS raising the level of service the company provides due to exceeding the industry’s employee relations standard.

Acquiring Black Knight Security’s Chicago branch gives both PalAmerican’s current and new clients a wider range of expertise and a greater depth of resources in the market. The acquisition is not only a strategic move to enhance PalAmerican’s stance in becoming America’s leading security firm but also a commitment to innovation and growth.
“With the addition of Black Knight Security, we will have a solid foundation in both the Chicago Commercial Office and High-End Residential markets, and I anticipate we will use that to push to expand our operations in those vertical markets,” said Jon Alfred, PalAmerican’s Senior Director of Operations in Illinois.
PalAmerican now has two offices servicing its clients and employees in the greater Chicago area, one in downtown and the other in the western suburb of Oakbrook.
The acquisition took place on January 7, 2024.
