PalAmerican Security is deepening our footprint on the west coast after acquiring SmartGuard Inc. in Sacramento, California, on December 27, 2020. This is our first foray into the Golden State security market and reinforces our desire to grow and diversify across America.
“We have been looking forward to entering the California market for quite some time now and are extremely excited to announce our arrival as a starting point in Sacramento. It not only gives us a chance to expand but to bring the PalAmerican Difference into California,” says PalAmerican President Jason Begin.

One hundred and eighty security officers have been added to the PalAmerican team, while SmartGuard’s Bryon Bayer has proudly accepted the role of Vice President of Operations with PalAmerican. Bayer has 44 years of experience in the security industry, which includes a longstanding involvement with ASIS. His skills and expertise ensure continuity of services and vital historical knowledge in the Sacramento area.

The acquisition of SmartGuard is a complimentary one to Paladin Technologies, as PalAmerican now operates as a full-service company in California.
